More Winter 2010

photos taken from our front yard

I know everyone complains about winter, but to me it's the most beautiful season when it snows.

Winter Storm 2010

I was lucky to snap these photos around 7:30 this morning, it seems anytime the snow flies, the horses start feeling frisky, especially the younger ones. In these photos, Finnegan (our 5 yr old great-grandson of On The Money Red) and Cooper (2 yr old with Firewater Flit and Frenchmans Guy breeding), were having a ball, it was still really putting the snow down and if I had gone any closer they would have quit playing, but hopefully the photos are good enough that you can see how much fun they are to watch when they play.

These two go at it all the time!

In these pics, we have about 8 inches of snow on the ground and it's still snowing and blowing like crazy.

In these two pics, Dooger makes an appearance.

At last, photos are done...this pic is of my shop's signature design the MyBluePeacock Signature Scarf, I absolutely loved the colors of the yarn, I plan to do some different items with it.

And doesn't Miranda look great in red?! This is a very long circular scarf that can be worn many different ways. I made it using one of the patterns that I designed myself.

These are just a few of what I have listed so far, and Miranda's store
http://www.etsy.com/shop/PuppyandMe is also up and running with a few listings. Be sure to "heart" her store, she'd love it.

And finally, this cowl is one of my favorites which I also designed myself. Make sure you check out my etsy store to look at the others I have posted.

Ready for pics

Time to take pictures! Yay! Miranda is coming over to be my model for the scarves and cowls I've made and have ready to list on Etsy. I will post them as soon as I can. We are also going to get her etsy shop ready to list items too.

WANTED: Knitting Buddy

Knitting buddy found! I am so excited...I've been knitting for 5 years now and have searched for a knitting partner, someone to discuss yarns with, favorite patterns or gift ideas to make.

My crafty sister, Amy Michelle

I found her quite by accident. It happened like this...

My sister, Amy, called me last night to ask some questions about yarn, so I had to ask, "what are you doing with it?"
"To knit on my knitting loom..." her answer.
Stunned, I asked, "You knit on a loom? Since when?"
"Don't you remember me telling you about it at Christmas?"

It was the holidays, you know, lots of family, confusion...no, I did not remember. After the shock, I started to realize how wonderful, I now had a knitting buddy! And she's not only that, she's also an awesome crafter, she tole paints, scrapbooks, makes cards and sews. AND she's also a full-time nurse, happily married and has two stupendous kids. Good Lord! When is she possibly going to have time to knit? And she lives 3 hours from me, but I'm thinking with the internet and phone we'll manage just fine.

The Adams family at Miranda's wedding

I was still so excited when I woke up this morning that I had to email her some of my favorite knitting online store and websites. I can hardly wait until we can get together and work on "our" knitting!

Our daughter Miranda and her new groom Brian

The beginning of a new year is my favorite time to look back over the one just past.

Daddy's Little Girl

In looking back, I decided to organize the photos I have on my computer which inevitably led to several hours of reminiscing. It also reminded me of how blessed I've been and not just in the past year, but all those previous as well.

Jared, Ryan, Miranda & Corey

The big event for our family in 2009 was our daughter, Miranda's, wedding. Visiting with family and friends was just too wonderful for words.
